My Top Money Saving Fashion Websites - Fashion Blogger Competition!!

when Fashionvouchers.com asked me whether I would like to take part in a competition to create a list of my favorite money saving website for fashion I thought why the hell not?? I spent most of my free time browsing the net for bargains and I have quite a few that I swear by. Plus there is one £100 ASOS voucher up for grabs for  the best post and they are also giving away £20 ASOS vouchers for 5 randomly selected entries. So without further ado lets get on with it.

1. eBay

This is one of my favorite sites. You can't go wrong with a ebay bargain can you?? It's one of my most used apps on my iphone. So easy to use and very convenient and perfect for bidding on the go. If you are not much of a bidding fan there is always "buy now" option. But I love a good bid and always set my self a limit just in case I get carried away but I can't guarantee that I always stick to it though:).

I have bought quite a few of my fashion staples on ebay. My favorites are : My Celine t-shirt, Valentino studded heels, Zara suede ankle strap lookalikes and clear envelope clutch bag.

2.ASOS

Another website I swear by. There are also couple of ASOS options that you can choose as well. ASOS marketplace and OUTLET (where you can save upto 70%) Do a great selection of branded clothing and accessories as well as their own range of clothing. There have been times that I have saved over £30-£40 on branded clothing by buying it through ASOS. What I most Love about ASOS is their shipping options. Their standard shipping is free but takes up to 5 days to arrive, this is the option that I go for mostly. What I also like is the fact that I don't have to worry about returning items if I change my mind because there is free post option and  ASOS pick up service, which I think is great and is stress free.

Another reason to love ASOS is maternity wear. When I was pregnant with my son I struggled so much to find fashionable maternity wear for my ever growing bump. There were days I just burst into tears when I realized I could no longer fit into my favorite Skinny jeans or my favorite dress and ASOS maternity was there to pick me up. They are no doubt the only website that actually offer maternity clothing that you would actually want to wear, so for this reason I will always have a soft spot for ASOS.

Some of my Favorite items off ASOS -ASOS polka dot playsuit (sold out), French Connection stripe maxi dress and Religion stud shoulder t-shirt.

3. iOffer

This is a website you either love or hate, just like Marmite. I was quite skeptical when I first came across this website because I didn't really know what to expect but it has definitely grown on me. You do need to be a bit aware though, make sure you do your research and pick your product and the seller carefully as most of the sellers are Chinese and obviously there is a language barrier to communicate. They also sell alot of replica's so you have to make sure you read the feedback and go for the best option.
I have bought quite a few handbags and shoes from this website and I am very happy to say that I haven't had a single bad experience. The only disadvantage I would say is that it takes ages to arrive but considering it comes all the way from china, shipping is free and there is no Custom chargers I don't think its much of a issue really.

This website offer a great deal of lingerie brands (mostly sexy and a few everyday) from all over the world including Brazilian, French, Polish and American. The prices are really reasonable, considering the quality and the attention to detail some of them even have Swarovski crystal detailing on them (lush!!) . My favorite items from this website has got to be their Brazilian sexy underwear collection which is actually designed and made in Brazil. If your after something extra ordinary from your everyday essentials this is the place to go. The website offer secure payment, discreet packaging and free shipping for orders over £50.
They also have a EU website recently which offers more choices including party wear dresses. UK customers can shop as easily as on their EU website as on the UK  website, shipping costs are similar to the UK website and they offer fast and reliable 1-3 working days tracked courier delivery. You can follow them for updates on Facebook and Twitter

My favorite buys from them- Obviously a couple of Brazilian underwear, Curorina Top and shorts

I have been a massive fan of Fashionvouchers even before they asked me whether I would like to take part in their blogger competition. When I tell you they offer a wide range of Voucher codes, offers and sales available, that is an understatement. Missguided, boohoo, Rare, French Connection, Motelrocks and Miss Selfridges are a few, go to the website and check it out! The site is very straight forward and easy to use. You can browse all vouchers, check out the top 10 , browse all stores, and even find vouchers by category. You can also like them on Facebook , follow them on Twitter or sign up to the weekly Fashion Vouchers Newsletter.

I fell in love with this website for the prints because I'm a sucker for pretty prints. They definitely offer the prettiest dresses and tops no doubt. If you sign up to their newsletter you get 10% off voucher as a welcome offer, then they do special offers for bank holidays where you get up to 20% off. Prices are very reasonable and you can also create your own wishlist, this is what I tend to do most of the time. I will create my wishlist and buy most of the items when I get a voucher. I save quite a bit by doing this.

My Pretty buys from them are - Ellie Love dress, Botanical garden top and flamingo sweater

Double whamy

As you know I'm a sucker for denim. Today's post is another double denim combo (See Previous double denim post here) People are still a bit hesitant to wear double denim for some reason but all it need is a bit of careful styling. This time I have gone for a off white cropped denim and a denim shirt.

I find it very difficult to maintain white clothes, so I always tend to go for anything but white. These jeans are great because they are a off white colour (but I still struggle to not stain them every time I wear these) The cut of these jeans are so flattering and the zip detail on the ankle gives these plain jeans a bit of an edge. The only thing I dislike about these jeans is that every time I wash these the shape of the zip goes a bit wonky. (does anyone knows how you can avoid this??)

The denim shirt is a washed out denim so it doesn't pop out against the off white jeans. I introduced these leopard print shoes to break the denim. You can even use a printed bag. If you think this is a bit too smart styling then go for flats and a small fringed bag. The styling potential for this outfit is endless.

Jeans are from Stradivarius, which is owned by the same company as Zara. Unfortunately it's not sold in the UK but quite a popular brand in all of Europe. It's a store that I never fail to visit every time I'm in Europe. They do clothing and accessory which is quite similar to Zara designs but a bit cheaper.

Splash Of Colour

Another dress related post! Something about warm weather that makes me want to wear dresses rather than reaching for a pair of shorts or skirts. This one is another favourite of mine. The colours just make me want to jump up and down with joy every time I put this dress on. It's a real mood lifter.

Believe it or not its Primark (limited edition) from about two summers ago and it's still a summer favourite of mine. I even wore this to a wedding (again) with my cobalt blue zara shoes and ASOS clutch.  But I prefer this casual look. I threw on my cord jacket rather than the denim jacket because for some reason this summer I seem to prefer cord and reach for it more often.

I have been after the Zara studded sandal for a while. Don't know why I didn't take the £39.99 plunge. But I'm glad I didn't buy it on impulse because I found these very similar once at M&S for only £29.50. They had it in 2 other colour as well. As much as I was drawn to the coral and gold combo, I had to get these pinky nude once because they seem more practical and can be worn with anything. I've had them for about 2 weeks but been too scared to wear them out because I love them too much and this is the first time I wore them out. They are so comfortable, doesn't cut into your skin and I love the little diamante detail compared to the Zara Gold studs, which I think is a bit in your face. Might even invest in the coral and gold combo when I get paid this month.

Not Just A Fancy Dress

It's been too long since I last blogged but apart from getting a year older nothing exciting has happened in my life. Same old daily rituals and chores. I have to say though that I had the best birthday ever. Me and a couple of my very close friends went out had way too many cocktails and danced way too many hours, I was still recovering the whole of last week (old age). It's definitely one of the best birthdays I have had in a very very long time.

I had the whole of last weekend off so I got to spend some quality time with family  plus now that summer is finally here we can squeeze in quite a lot of activities into a full day. There's quite a lot of parks and old castles around where I live and we love going there for walks.

So last Sunday we went to Elvaston castle just outside Derby. It was such a beautiful day so I decided to celebrate it by wearing this dress. I'm not much of a dress person and I bought this dress last year or the year before I think from Topshop. I actually bought it for a wedding. The dress was only £18 in sale and I wore it with brown and gold studded heels and a brown little clutch. I must have been the person who spent the least amount of money on the outfit at that wedding. But my outfit didn't really give that away.

I have worn this dress many times after that, mostly casual. It was a bit windy on that day so I put on this cord cropped jacket instead of denim or leather jacket. I'm not too sure where I got this jacket from because I have had it for over 4 years and for some reason I have cut all the labels. It's one of those little jackets that I rely on most in summer. Went for very simple styling with my burgundy Primark satchel and Bershka sandals.

Dress - Topshop (old)
Jacket - Other (old)
Satchel - Primark
Shoes - Bershka (old)
Watch - River Island (shop here)

I'm super excited about the weather because I think we have waited such a long time for some proper sunshine. Growing up in a hot country like Sri Lanka where it's hot 24/7 365 days a year I have never appreciate the sun or the warm weather until I move to England 8 years ago. I just hope it's here to stay, at least for some time. Can't wait to wear more of my summer bits out.

What do you think of this outfit? Done anything nice in the warm weather?
