Something Blue

TGI Friday and what is it this I'm hearing the weather is going to be nice??

Outfit today is something I wore last week. Had these trousers since last summer and I literally wore them every where. They are so comfortable, versatile and so easy to style and great to break away from the every day jeans. They are from Zara and my only regret is that I didn't buy another pair because they had it in many prints including leopard print.

I've worn them with a plain t-shirt for a casual look and I love it. I wasn't too sure about them when I first got them but I soon converted. I'm hoping Zara would do them again this summer. I have tried on similar pairs at Dorothy Perkins, Next and H&M but they are not the same for some reason. So got my fingers and toes crossed for Zara.

The white lace top is simple but pair it up with the trousers it still manage to stand out quite well with the lace trims. I have been waiting to get these heels out and this outfit gave me the perfect opportunity. I have had them for almost 2 years now and it's such a shame that I can only wear them in summer.

Trouser- Zara
Top - H&M
Shoes- Zara
Clutch- ASOS

What do you think about this outfit?? How would you Style these Trousers?

Hope you all have a wonderful long weekend!

Bohemian Mix

Hi all!! Im sorry my blogging this month has been so on and off. As much as I'd love to say I ll be more consistent but work is crazy and home is even crazier. So I'm going to try and get a bit more organised this month and hopefully be more consistent from next month.

I haven't had much time to experiment with outfits for the past couple of weeks. Even with my everyday work wear I try and choose the outfit the night before but  past couple of weeks I've literally just grabbed what ever and put on in the morning.

Must say this outfit is one of my favorites  I wore this skirt here as a more dressed up look, which is what I normally go for with this skirt but I wanted to wear it a bit differently as the weather s been a bit towards the warmer side than normally (even without the sun) .

Reached for one of my denim shirts but rather than tucking it in I decided to go for a cropped tie up. I must say I love this look. I've always Tried to kind of stay away from tie up tops but I think I have been converted:-). You can do this with any top you have and I think it gives any casual look that extra spin.

Initially I wanted to go for a bit of a boho sort of look but I don't think that's what I achieved in the end, not that I'm complaining. It was nice to get a bit of my mid riff out for a change.

Skirt- Pull and Bear
Shirt - Primark
Sandals - Bershka
Bangles - new look

What do you think about this outfit?? Are you a fan of maxi skirt and tie up top combo??

Birthday Wishlist

Today's post is a bit different. My birthday is coming up in 2 weeks and even though I didn't do it on purpose I have unintentionally created a wishlist on my notes app (don't you love it when that happens??) So I thought today I ll round it up and do a little post. I don't make a big fuss of my birthday normally, just spend the day with family but this year I thought I'd go all out.

I'm quite reasonable when it comes to gifts and things I want and I'm very easily pleased. (I like to think so)

Birthday Wishlist

Motel Molly Long sleeve Playsuit - I have been getting drawn to Vintage Inspired Pieces lately and this this playsuit is one of my Favorites and the Brocade print gives the playsuit that extra wow factor. The colour is so refreshing to break away from the dark coloured playsuit's that are out there in the high street. With a price tag of £45 its definitely a winner!!!

Choies Studded Heels - Every ones been going crazy over valentino's studded sandals but the price tag's been a bit high for me to afford. So for us mere mortals I have found this look alike babies. Seen this pair on couple of blogger's and it looks as good as the real deal.

Micheal Kors Gold Watch - Been lusting after Micheal Kors watches since I can remember but they have been way too big for my small wrist and this is perfect size. Even if I get this one apart from the rest I will probably be the most happiest birthday girl.

Zara high pointed Heel shoe - I had to add this Zara pointed heels, as much as I try to stay away from them my heart skips a beat every time I see them.

Zara Jacquard Pattern Jacket - Weather being a bit warmer than normal but yet not too warm means it's time to invest in a jacket but I didn't want the same old type of leather or light weight jacket. On my quest to find something different I found this jacket.

So that's the end of my Birthday wishlist and they are all quite reasonable (right??) My must haves! Hope you'r all having a great week, if not hang in there its almost Friday!!

Monochromatic Magic

I'm a massive fan of black! (who isn't?) May be its the ease of styling it or the fact that anything black will pretty much go with anything?? Or because it's so easy to maintain?? I don't know but all I do know is it's the colour that I most tend to turn to. Must admit though that I have got better in the recent years as I have tried my best to stay away from the colour.

Nowadays when I wear black I try to add a pop of colour, it mostly come in the form of accessory. I have not really been a massive fan of jewellery but to say I have been converted won't do justice. Where have I been all these years?? Holed up in a cave?? why I didn't embrace the trend is beyond me! However my preferences have changed because I tend to move a lot towards jewellery with geometric shapes.

Let's move on to the outfit shall we? I've tyried to stay away from the monochrome trend but how long can one resist so I gave in! But instead of a full monochrome look I have added some colour using the tan heels and a bit of neon.

The top is from Zara and its very casual, I have never worn it with anything but jeans. Yet I don't know why I reached for it when actually I was after a shirt to go with this Skater skirt. With the skater skirt I normally tuck the top in but decided against it, which I think actually looks a lot better (thoughts?)

If you really want a pop of colour then go for a neon clutch, which I think would look great with a monochrome outfit.

Top - Zara
Skirt - Topshop
Shoes - Dorothy Perkins
Necklace 1 - Miss Selfridge (neon pop)
Necklace 2 - Topshop
Clutch -Gap

So! what are your thoughts on this outfit? Are you a fan of the ever popular monochrome trend?

If you have not yet nominated please Nominate Stylehush as BEST NEW FASHION BLOG in Cosmopolitan blog awards here (I will be so so grateful:-)

Just a Little something

Been awhile!! I have been recovering from the worst form of tonsillitis I have had for a very long time, so haven't really had much time to post. But I have recovered and back to work tomorrow so hopefully my posting will commence.

This outfit post is just a little something I had on when the weather was not very nice as you can see from my flying hair and clothes. I must have worn these Matalan Shorts so many times since I bought them last summer and they are out from the back of my wardrobe again to keep me company this summer. I absolutely love the print and since the shorts are high waisted its also very versatile because you can dress it up or down.

I opted to wear it with this khaki green Gap silk shirt because I like the colour contrast.

I have not taken these wedges off since I bought them. They are not only pretty and affordable but so comfortable. The wedge heel is not very high unlike most of the wedges I have come across, which make them great for everyday use. They are a recent purchase from Primark so I'm sure they are still available in store and there's Black version if your not a massive Tan fan. (Only£16)

Shorts- Matalan
Shirt - Gap
Wedges - Primark (£16)
Bag - Zara
Necklace - Miss Selfridge (£3)

I love a bit of sparkle on a day like this

I love mixing my pieces in my wardrobe. Let it be summer pieces mixed in with winter or giving my going out clothes a casual spin. This skirt is one of my many favorites to do that. Considering how much sequin embroidery it's got, I got it for a bargain. I've worn it a couple of times going out and layered it with a shirt and jumper combo here. ( that combo was also picked as look of the day by look magazine :-)

The weather s been amazing for a change. I mean truly truly amazing right?? But sadly I haven't been feeling too well to dress up or go out much. Hence the reason I haven't been blogging much.

I always reach for this skirt when I need a bit of cheering up. I don't really care or think much about what I'm going to wear it with because I just base my whole look around this skirt. I only have to consider where I'm going and the sort of look I want to go for. The skirts got a under layer so you can't really feel the sequins on your skin plus it's surprisingly very light weight considering the amount of sequins used.

I wasn't going for a specific look or anything, just wanted something casual and comfortable. A vest top underneath and threw in one of my denim shirts. I love the texture clash and the fact that a denim shirt is the last thing anyone would prolly think to wear with a skirt like this. The skirt doesn't really have a waist band so I use a belt to give my waist a bit of definition. These flat sandals are really comfy and I love the colours and the style( oh! The joy of getting my toes out)

I have definitely got my money s worth with this skirt already plus it would have been such a shame to hang it in my wardrobe and wait for a special occasion or a night out to wear it.

Skirt - Gap
Vest top - Topshop
Denim shirt - Gap
Sandals - Bershka
Belt- Primark

Hope you all have had a amazing weekend! I sure did
